Matt, Light and Dark
A self portrait… as a general rule, I’ll stay away from posting these. In the wee hours of this morning, it just felt right.
I’ve had some cool successes over the past few days that semi-justify this omage to yours truly. First, I was able to get out of a gym contract one year prematurely. I like to chalk this up to my gentle, yet firm, powers of persuasion that were neatly tucked into a properly formated business letter to the regional manager. Secondly, my car was damaged pretty badly by a person trying to parallel park behind me on Saturday night. After a brief investigation, some evidence collection and a note on their window, I recieved a call today with their admission of guilt and insurance information. Safe to say the entire rear bumper will need to be repainted, on Geico’s dime. And last, but not least, a free drink from Starbucks today. When they have to brew your order, it’s generally free. The only reason for my visit to “the Bucks” was to collect straws for the light modifier (a grid spot, for all you photogs) I built that delivered the photo below. The tall decaf drip gave it that je ne sais quoit.
Now, if only this luck would make it’s way into the rest of my life…
